Lightning for Outlook - Looks like you don't have Internet Explorer 11 installed (use a supported browser)

When using Lightning for Outlook (LFO) side panel users may experience the error below

We encountered a problem. For help, contact your administrator
Looks like you don't have Internet Explorer 11 installed (use a supported browser) or it's using Compatibility View. Check your settings or contact your system admin for help
Lightning for Outlook doesn't support this browser. To make sure all features work as expected use a supported browser
- Launch Lightning for Outlook in Outlook client
- Enter your login credentials
- Error occurs
Sometimes this issue may be intermittent - Could be related to being idle for a few minutes or hours in Outlook and strange rendering appears in the panel. (Looks like you dont have Internet Explorer 11 .......) error
Sometimes this clears by clicking on another email or it persists and the user cannot resolve even after restarting Outlook.
As the issue could be intermittent and happening for users several times a day, clearing the browser cache may fix the issue but we have logged and it is not sufficient
