Lightning keyboard shortcut "Shift+X" does not always close tabs correctly in Safari
Last updated 2018-06-09 ·Reference W-4318987 ·Reported By 1 users
The Lightning Experience keyboard shortcut to close a record page (Shift+X) does not always function as expected when using the Safari browser. This is because the DOM element that is focused is outside of the workspace.
Scenario 1: After saving changes to a record in Safari, the Shift+X shortcut will not close the tab unless the page area is clicked.
Scenario 2: When attempting to close multiple tabs in a row using Shift+X, subsequent tabs will not close unless the page area is clicked.
You can workaround the issue by clicking the page to change the DOM element that has focus, to enable the keyboard shortcut to function again. You may also use the mouse to close the tab manually or utilize an alternate supported browser in the meantime.
