"Can't Load the List View" error received for ALL list views within a custom object in Lightning Experience
Last updated 2019-06-15 ·Reference W-4519924 ·Reported By 56 users
"Can't load the list view" error message is received when attempting to view any list view within a custom object.
At this point, we have only seen this error message on the "Funds" custom object that is part of the "Funds Allocation" package developed by "Kell Partners".
The root cause stems from the namespace totaling 15 characters, which is being evaluated as a ID rather an an API. So depending on set up, the custom object can experience other issues, such as missing actions. In the case of "Kell Partners", the Save action is missing while editing "Funds".
1 – Login to Salesforce and ensure you are using the "Lightning Experience" user interface.
2 – Navigate to funds tab.
3 – The tab defaults to the “Recently Viewed” list – this works as expected.
4 – Select one of the views in the list of available views (At minimum, there should be “All”).
5 – Receive an error message, “Can’t load the list view”
6 – Attempt to modify the list view by adding filters or removing columns, you’ll receive the error message, “We can't update your list view. Try again.”
7 – Additionally, notice that the option to create a new list view is not available to be selected.
Switch to the Aloha / Classic User Interface and access your list views from there.
