Outlook / Gmail Integration - Log Email - Email added only to case record though it was initially logged to both Case + Contact. This issue happens only when Email-to-Case is enabled.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Ensure Email-to-Case is turned on
2. Ensure Enhanced Email is turned on
3. Login to Outlook or Gmail
4. Select an email and load Salesforce email application pane
5. Click on "Log Email"
6. Select a Contact and Case
7. Click 'Save' to log the email to Salesforce.
Expected Result: Email should be logged and available under the activity timeline of both contact and case details page.
Actual Result: Email message record available only under Case record's activity timeline but not under contact record.
Although not ideal, a temporary workaround would be to turn off Email-to-Case.
