Salesforce for Outlook - Side panel quick actions: Creating a new case causes "No Network Connection" error

When user tries to use the Salesforce for Outlook side panel quick actions to create a case for an email with a certain email recipient and description, they may get "No Network Connection" error in the side panel.
This error may also occur in Lightning for Outlook Side Panel
1- Select an email, or compose or reply to an email
2- Click on the + quick action button on the side panel
3- Select either option to create a case.
4- Side Panel will show the NO Network connection error
