When creating a recurring event an additional event (parent/template) gets created and displays in reports
Last updated 2020-02-10 ·Reference W-6510984 ·Reported By 47 users
When a user creates a recurring event in LEX a parent/template event is created along with the event records.
If a user creates 3 events, 4 events will be created. 1 for each day intended and another one which is the parent event.
The parent event should not be visible in the the UI normally, but users can manually navigate to it through other means and the record displays on reports and API queries.
1. Create a recurring event.
2. Create a report on Activities and make sure to include open and closed and within the date range of the events created.
Expected : Do not see template event
Actual: See template event
Filter report or query to exclude events where the Group Event Type equals "IsRecurrence2 Series Pattern"
