Scope by User for automated data imports

Email Studio

In Enterprise SFMC accounts using Scope By User, Sales Cloud data that is imported into SFMC is set at the user's permission level - everywhere except in automations. If a user creates an automation that includes a data import into a Salesforce Data Extension, it follows the Enterprise permission levels rather than the individual user's permission levels.

This is a huge problem for my organization, a large federated nonprofit. We have 114 business units and 400 users. If a user misses the one field in their Salesforce report filter criteria that designates their business unit - they can easily accidentally set up an automated email that goes to members across the country who meet that criteria. It's a huge disruption when it happens because our users have to drop everything and send an apology email, and they have no way of preventing it because it's someone else's mistake. We've had it happen several times over the last few years.

If scope by user was also available for automated data imports, we could prevent this from happening.
