Edit Contact/Lead Information in Salesforce Inbox

Salesforce Inbox

We use Salesforce Inbox with our Microsoft Exchange account.

I would like to add a new email address to an existing contact through Salesforce Inbox panel.

Also, after I manually added the new email address to existing contact, my Einstein Activity Capture sync function is not automatically logging the email to the record's Activity History.

Please update the following on Salesforce Inbox:
1) Add Edit functionally within Salesforce Inbox panel
2) Add Manual Sync button to Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture permission set panel.

Great news, the edit record details (for Contacts and Leads, as well as all other records!) in the side panel is now GA for all desktop users in both the new Outlook integration (GA as of Winter '19) and Gmail integration (GA as of Spring '19). Winter '19 release notes for the Outlook integration and Spring '19 release notes for the Gmail integration detail the new integrations, and this help article for Gmail users shows you how to move to the new integration with Inbox. You can now inline edit all records directly within the Outlook or Gmail sidepanel.
