As a finance user, I would like to see my financial balances (invoice, payments, credits etc.) "as of" a current or past date for my accounting close and financial reporting.
If there are multiple invoice balance entries in a month (03/01, 03/15, 03/30), when I search for the balance as of 4/1, I’d like to ONLY see the entry on 3/30. However, when I search for the balance as of 3/25, I’d like to ONLY see the on 3/15. This makes my reporting more usable and readable. If I use the group by feature currently and group by month, it shows me entries for all 3 dates.
