Flow editor - limit selection of object fields to those actually available

Process Builders & Workflow

When I use a Fast Lookup in a Flow to assign a record to an SObject variable, I am required to list the fields from the record that will be populated into the variable. Only those fields are available within the flow. If I then create an outcome within a decision and type in the name of that object variable as a resource, I'm allowed to select any field belonging to that object, even if it's not contained in the SObject variable. This leads to runtime errors which are hard to trace back.

Field selection controls in the Flow editor should only allow you to select from the fields that are actually part of an SObject variable, not all fields that belong to the object on which the variable is based.
