Expose hashCode on all Apex primitives so hashCode viable for custom classes

Salesforce Platform, Apex & Visualforce

The  facility to implement your own equals/hashCode in an Apex custom class so that the instances can be used in sets and as map keys is seriusly undermined by the lack of an exposed hashCode method for Apex types like String and Decimal. (The class's hashCode would normal be constructed by combining the hashCodes of the significant fields in the class and these will often be strings or decimals.)
