Increase size limit on Email2Case

Not Categorized

Salesforce imposes a 10M size limit on emails processed via Email2Case.  We routinely have customers send email to us with attachments that exceed this limit.  Today, those emails pass successfully through our Exchange server (which has a much higer size limit), but are blocked from being added as a Case in Salesforce.  There is no alert, warning, reject message - no indication to either us or our customers that the email is lost.

Salesforce needs to either increase the size limit or provide a way to notify the sender / intended recipient that the email was blocked.

    From the release notes:
With the Summer '14 release, we’ve increased the size limit for attachments to objects from 5 MB to 25 MB. Collaborate more easily with larger attachments to cases, accounts, orders, and other objects.
