Open up the Trailhead framework to ISV partners

Training & Certification

As a Salesforce ISV partner it is great to share the various Trailhead modules and paths to our customers--it is a quick way to get users up to speed on the platform. The next step is to allow partners to create private custom modules and paths within the Trailhead framework. These modules could be step-by-step training centered on package specific features. Partners can then share these modules with our customers, giving them an easy and effective way of learning our applications.

Requirements:
  • These modules should be hosted by Salesforce, but require some type of authentication to access
  • Custom paths can be a combination of pre-built SF modules plus partner created modules
  • They should have custom badges that appear on a user's profile
  • There should be associated analytics for partners to see how modules and paths are performing
    • % accessed
    • % completed
  • There should be a method of feedback that goes directly to the partner
  • They should link to dev orgs that have a package installed (possibly that could be one of the steps to load in a package) or a trial org
  • They should be brandable
  • They should be accessible from with the ISV application
Content could be very broad to very specific:
  • How to assign some specific permissions
  • How to use a specific report or dashboard
  • How to modify a pre-package flow
  • Order entry flow overview
