Outlook 2010 support for Connect for Microsoft Outlook

Salesforce Platform, Applications, Desktop Solutions, Email Client & Office Suites, Large Enterprise Ideas, Large Enterprise

Not Planned

After being promised this support with in the Winter 2010 release, I am disappointed to see that the Salesforce for Outlook is the replacement. Instead of receiving support for Outlook 2010 for an existing product, we received an entirely new product which has far less functionality. We have lost the ability to mark selected items for sync as well as add an email to where we wanted it to be added and adding a case from an email.

I hope that Salesforce will re-evaluate their decision and quickly update Connect for Microsoft Outlook so that it supports Windows 7 and Outlook 2010 in both 32 and 64 bit versions.

Closing this Idea out as "Not Planned". We have no plans to further developing Connect for Outlook. All development is being focused on Salesforce for Outlook which already supports Outlook 2010.
