Outlook Integration Updates and Login Problems
I have recieved several help requests from people on my team in the past week because they have a difficult time logging into the Outlook Connect plugin due to the recent update. The problem is with poor communication with the user. Most users are not as Salesforce savvy as the administrators. When they get error messages, they don't know what they need to do to fix the problem and end up calling the system admin or logging a ticket with Salesforce support. Both instances are a waste of time for the Admin and Salesforce support when we could easily solve the problem with the following action items:
1) Make the Outlook Connect updates automatic or ...
2) Make the Outlook Connect login error messages tell the user what steps they need to take to fix the problem.
