Emailing scheduled reports to Other email addresses - NON users

Reports & Dashboards

I love the emailing of scheduled reports enhancement being implemented in Winter 09, however it's a shame that we can't add additional email addresses of non-users to send the reports to. This would allow us to send reports to people who do not need a regular user license but are still interested in seeing reports from Salesforce. I noticed that using workflows you can send emails to other email addresses who are not users so why can't we enhance this scheduling reports feature further to allow for the same.

Hi all - in the interest of protecting the information you store in Salesforce, we do not have any plans of implementing this idea. Sending reports containing your data to non-authenticated users doesn't align with our Trust value, as this scenario could potentially lead to your data being sent to unintended parties. We're actively considering adding the option to generate reports as PDFs, which could then be shared, as needed, with those authorized to receive the information. The PDF idea is one included in the May 2019 round of IdeaExchange Prioritization, which is open through June 2. Visit https://sfdc.co/PrioritizeIdeas to learn more.
