Related List Sorting - More than one choice

Lists & Actions

Currently related lists can only be sorted by one field. This should be increased to more options to allow sorting levels. I'd suggest 3-5 different field selections, each being able to select Ascending or Descending.

Hi all - as a follow-up to my last post, I want to shed some light on why we want to do this, but aren't planning to do so in the short-term. We agree - it would be valuable to view related lists with multiple levels of sort. To do this efficiently and in alignment with how we're architecting related lists within the Lightning experience, there is some background work that needs to be done first. We want to solidify our plans so that, to address multiple sort, we do so once in the context of the other enhancements we're making. Unfortunately, that means we'll need a few more releases to lay the groundwork and make those decisions.

In the meantime, we've been working on other related lists features like Enhanced Related Lists where you can display up to 10 columns and easily filter them with Quick Filters. As one of the top IdeaExchange ideas, please know that this is top of mind for us. We'll let you know how our related lists roadmap evolves to bring more clarity as to how and when we'll be able to address this idea.
