Inline editing of REPORTS

Reports & Dashboards

Inline editing should be extended to include Reports. We use reports to have our users clean up a lot of data and currently you have to drill into each record separately to edit. It would be nice to be able to double-click one line of a report and do an inline edit right there without leaving the report.

    Hi All,

I'm the product manager for Lightning Reports. I understand the painpoints and workarounds for not having this capability. Thanks for your patience and comments. This is a feature that is on our long-term roadmap, however in the short-term (next 2-3 release), we are focused on delivering "True to the Core" voted features such as Scheduling Report Attachment: https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000Brb6AAC

In general, we are working hard on delivering the high pointed ideas first. We will be coming to this one at a later point. Please keep in mind that even when we deliver this feature, not all fields can be inline edited in reports for example we can't allow calculated fields or fields updated via workflow to be inline edited.

    Thanks,
    Anusha
