Administrator Access to Personal Report Folders

Reports & Dashboards

I often have users without the manage reports rights, who create reports in their own folders which they want me to access and copy over to a group folder. Please log that a system administrator should be able to access other users personal reports in order to do this.

For the use case described in the original Idea (allowing an admin to move or copy reports from a private folder to a group folder), this is possible with Enhnaced Folder Sharing. The admin can give the user the "EditMyReports" and/or "EditMyDashboards" perm, and the user can then move reports to any folder that they have view access for.

To resolve the other issues described in the comments, with the Spring '16 release we are giving admins the ability to delete reports/dashboards from private folders. This is default ON for any Salesforce user with a System Administrator profile. Please note: This does not include the ability for admins to view private folders. For details on the query used to delete reports/dashbaords, please see: http://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/spring16/release-notes/rn_api_soql.htm#rn_api_soql_allprivate
