Automatically convert reports when field type is changed from Lookup to Master-D

Operational Reporting

I would like to see the processing behind "Change Field Type" include all changes necessary to reports and any other process that uses the field. For example when changing a custom object Lookup field to Master/Detail to take advantage of roll up summary fields in Summer '07, I found that all the reports we have that were built based on the report data type of the custom object with the lookup object can no longer be run. This means every report any user created like this over the past 2.5 years needs to be identified and manually rebuilt from scratch - after the field type change is made. Change Field Type is great and can help immensely as we need to make changes to the system our business changes require but using it should not result in this. As part of this or maybe it is in another idea we should have greater visibility into report data types (in this case being able to report on what reports use what report data types would be great in telling us which reports are affected) so we can be sure we have a certain list of reorts that need to be rebuilt.
