Generate Multiple opportunities from one lead conversion

I would like to generate Multiple Opportunities from One Lead Conversion. Like most companies we try to MAXIMIZE our lead contact prospecting and pitch MORE THAN one product/service at primary call to contact. This issue becomes a problem when you try to create a new opportunity after you have converted the lead. The user looses all the Activity History from the original opportunity made at point of conversion. 1st SOLUTION is when the lead is converted you have the OPTION to make more than one opportunity. 2nd SOLUTION when you clone an opportunity later have the option of keeping the activity history created with the first opportunity.The suggestion goes to the root of SF automation since you would want to have that activity information on a new opportunity as you did from the first opportunity, especially if that new opportunity is assigned to another sales person or you are making multiple opportunities.
