Make New User Template Email Notification in Customer Portal more professional

User Administration, Email & Email Templates

The email notifications that we are able to send out to new Customer Portal users give a poor impression of the quality and professionalism of our organization because the Username and Password fields are appended as text at the end of the New UserTemplate rather than embedded in the email message in a more integrated and pleasing fashion.

Please either allow access to {!Receiving_User.Username} and add a merge field for the temporary password, or provide some other method to send a more professional looking notification. This applies to a lesser extent to the New Password Template and the Lost Password Template.
