Related Content in Contracts
Salesforce Files & Content
Under Point Threshold
Currently, you can add the Related Content List to accounts, contacts, and custom sections, but you can't seem to add it to contracts.
I'd like to be able to relate contracts to final documents in the content section.

Sorry, but I didn't see the Jan. 26, 2010 posting or the Mar. 10, 2010 posting until now.
I believe Campaign is another object which does not have Related Content as an available option. We could have used it there, too.
Our workaround for Contracts was to add to the Content record a custom lookup field pointing to Contract.
Click Setup > Customize > Salesforce CRM Content > Fields. Create a new Lookup field pointing to Contract. This gives you a new related list to use on the Contract page. Give the related list a suitable name.
Next, click Setup > Customize > Salesforce CRM Content > Content Types to add the lookup field to the page layout for each content type that needs it.
Then edit the Contract page layout(s) and add the related list that is tied to the lookup field you created.
Now when you upload a document, you can use the new lookup field to select a corresponding Contract record and the document will appear in the related list on that Contract record's detail page.
One limitation with this workaround is that you can only link the document to one Contract. If you try to add more lookup fields pointing to Contract, each additional lookup field will have its own related list on the Contract page.
To help ease the data entry a bit, we went one step further. We created a custom button on the Contract page that would take the user directly to the Salesforce Content area. Once there, they use the Contribute button to upload the document as normal. When the user goes to fill in the Contract link, the Recent Items list in the Salesforce window in the background will have the contract number showing. This helps the user remember which Contract number to select in the link.
Hope this helps.
