Ability to use "Unread by Owner" field on lead in a Workflow or Formula

"Unread by Owner" field is something we can pull-out from the Leads list view. It shows as a checkbox field. It would be a great help if this field can also be use in a formula or as a criteria for Workflow or Process builder.
