Need help with formula on opportunity field

I am trying to write a formula on the opportunity record that says

If the checkbox for "Perpetual" is not checked.  Then calculate (Total Amount / Length of Term).

Could anyone help me out?

You mean like this?

Datatype = Formula
Result = Currency
IF( Perpetual__c = FALSE , (Total_Amount__c / Length_of_Term__c) )

I am still getting a syntax error.  See attached pic.  If Perpetual is Checked, show value for TCV / Contract Duration.  If not checked...Don't show any number.User-added image

That worked great.  You saved me a huge headache with about 15 formulas I was having errors with.  You are the man!
