Run report for active users and their permissions

Hey Everyone,
I have been asked to run a report for a leader at our company. I need it to list the user's name, their title, their profile, their permissions/role (whether they are a standard user, an Admin or something else). We are basically trying to see who all has an active license and extra privleges in the system and need to change any that have editing permissions in Salesforce settings so they do not accidentally chnge a permissions set or layout. Any suggestions on how to run just a simple report to show this?

Got it. From that screen, you should type 'users' in the search box. From there, you'll click the 'Users' report. It will come with the standard fields shown above. I added 'Title' and 'Role' since you mentioned those in your original question.

You'll want to run a 'Users' report in Salesforce. That will allow you to see users with their assigned profile. There is also an Active flag you can filter on to make sure it is only currently active users.

You can display their profile and role, but that can't show permission sets. So you'll need to audit those separately, since users could be granted additional privileges through those permission sets.

Hello Chris,
How would I get to the page in your screenshot? When I go to reports this is what comes up for me. User-added image

One more question. Is there a way to also run a report for available licenses? I am unsure what to select in the same screen.

Unfortunately, you can't get available licenses from that same report. But you can see your license counts inside the setup area.

Go to Setup (gear icon in the top right of your screen), and search for 'Company Information'. There is a section on that page called 'User Licenses' that will show all of the licenses in your org, including the total you have, how many are assigned, and how many are remaining.
