Web-to-Lead ReCAPTCHA set-up: "Validation Errors While Saving Record(s)"

Hi everyone,

I was trying to set up a Web-To-Lead form today with ReCAPTCHA enabled. We have used Web-To-Lead in the past but now we want to start using ReCAPTCHA for the first time.

I have my API Key pair from Google, but when I try to enter the keys into the pop-up window on the Web-to-Lead generation page, I get this error:

Validation Errors While Saving Record(s)
There were custom validation error(s) encountered while saving the affected record(s). The first validation error encountered was "API Key Pair Nickname: The Captcha Key API Name can only contain underscores and alphanumeric characters. It must be unique, begin with a letter, not include spaces, not end with an underscore, and not contain two consecutive underscores.".

The key point seems to be "begin with a letter." Both of my keys start with a numeral. How do I get around this?  The keys are both 40 characters long and appear to comply with the rest of the criteria in the message above.

Thanks,

Jamie

API Name is the part that is flagging errors, not the contents of the field.   Is there some customization point of your ReCAPTCHA where you enter the name of a Visualforce Page or actual Field Name?
The error is coming from an invalid developer name, it isn't about the contents of your Keys.
