I am having issue logging in to newly created TP orgs, anyone having the same issue or knows how to solve it?

Anytime I create a new TP hands-on org, I click launch and sends me to the login page, since this is the first time logging in to this org, I haven't set the password. Also note I have tried the forgot password link but it doesn't work for the newly created org.

Have you tried creating new org again to check whether it logs in ? 

FYI. there is also a limit on number of TP for a trailhead account . I think it is 10. But I don't really think that is causing this issue. 

May be you can try do this.
  1. Log in from a different browser. Just to ensure this is not a cache issue.
  2. Try creating new TP to see whether it works out. 
  3. If 1 & 2 doesn't work for you, then raise a case to Salesforce.

I don't think you will be prompted for credentials when you launch the TP form your Trailhead Account(Session Active).

For some of the challenges you may need to exclusively login in to the TP . In that case, 
  • Launch your Trailhead Playground by clicking Launch from any hands-on challenge.
  • Click and select Setup.
  • Enter Users in Quick Find and select Users.
  • Locate your name on the list of users. Check the box next to your name. Make note of the username. This is the username for your Trailhead Playground.
  • Click Reset Password(s) and OK. This will send a password reset email to the email address associated with your username. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't see the email.

Hi Yuvaraj,

Normally this is what happens, but since today, I have been unable to be auto-redirected to the TP org, It only works with older orgs I have created prior to yesterday. When I attempt to launch newly created orgs, it attempts to be redirected as I can see in the browser, but before it loads anything from that org, the url changes https://login.salesforce.com

I have attemped to logout and log back in on Trailhead to make an active session again, but even that does not work.

I have the same issue.. I created new playground and when I press Launch I see the login form.

I tried everything except changing the browser, and it worked, it must be a cache issue. Thank you for helping out

Hmmm... I also created new playground. When the play ground has been created I managed to entered it. After a few seconds the Chrome tab die. I went back to the trailhead and then I pressed again Launch and again the login form. So I still have same issue :(

Try using Opera, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge instead of Chrome. Log in on either of those browsers, create a new TP org from there and click launch. It worked that way for me. Let me know if it works for you.

Have you tried clearing your cache, restarting your computer and trying again from creating a new TP org?

I'm having the same issue. I can't log in with the DE org I created a couple years ago, and I've created 2 new Trailhead Playgrounds, but they both just go right to a login screen. I can't log in to get a password because I don't have a login and password. I've never used Trailhead or Salesforce on this computer before, it's pretty new.

Hi Vivian and Yancho,

I had already submitted a ticket prior to me solving the issue on my end, so if I get any reply on it, I will pass it on to you guys to help this issue as well. For me it is still happening if I use any browser other than Opera, so maybe download Opera browser for you and try it out to see if it works. It also is a little weird that, my other browsers only work when I already saved the password which I extract when I use Opera, but until I save the password to chrome or IE or Edge, it redirects me to the login page, so I am using a combination of them with Opera. Let me know if that works for you too.

Same problem. Dreamhouse app TP did load the first time, but the "app" wasn't working as expected(from "Get Started with the Salesforce Platform") so I quit and reloaded. Now the launch button sends me to the login screen that doesn't recognize me. I've tried firefox and edge.

I just downloaded Opera for first time ever. And it worked! Not only did it load without taking me to the login screen, but the app worked as expected for first time. I wonder if it's something to do with Opera, or just that I used a different browser. I guess Opera's my new saleforce browser for now.

I wish I had kept track of all the time I've spent stumbling over all these frustrating little technical glitches vs the time actually learning saleforce.

Problem has returned. Opera worked great for me all last week, now same problem. Can't use firefox, chrome, or opera now :(

I'm also seeing similar for DE (developer) org accounts.   I create a new one, log out, can not log in.  Hit the forgot password link, wait for email (working only 50% of time, may have to do several times before email shows), reset the password and ok UNTIL I log out again and then repeats.  Tried several browsers, doesn't seem to matter.  All past DE orgs I created earlier still work just fine.   I'm thinking this a bug introduced in recent winter 19 release that apparently is used for new DE (and guessing PT) orgs as well.
