case status not available

Since the spring 2020 update last weekend, the picklist for status within a case no longer includes the "closed" option. When I edit the field on the case object, "closed" is still in the list. When I view cases in a list view, I can use a custom button I created for "update status" and the "closed" option is there. However, when I am in a case and edit the "status" field, "closed" is not an option.

Try this:
Setup → Customize → Case → Support Settings
Click Edit and enable “Show Closed Statuses in Case Status Field” checkbox.

I am having the same issue, however I don't have the customize option under my setup.  Any ideas?

Megan - You should be able to find it by just typing "support" into the setup home search box. Click on Support Settings and wait a few seconds for the page to load. Click on edit and scroll down to the middle of the page where "Show Closed Statuses in Case Status Field" checkbox should be located.
