Syncing Email from Outlook to SF

When "Add an email" from Outlook is sent to Salesforce to log under the Activity History, the task adds the sender and the contact under the "Name" field. I am looking to see if it's possible to exclude the sender from being added.

For example, if I want to log an email exchange with a client and add the email from outlook to SF, it will list me and the client contact under the "Name" field. I do not want myself to be added to the task. Is it possible for only have the client contacts to display there.

Name filed Always populates the Cotact Name. If contact name has same name as logged in user. then only it would populate the same in Name and Assign To field.

I'm not sure I understand. It looks like it's listing you as the "Assigned To" (Essentially, the task owner) and the client under the name.

Assigned to is always a salesforce user in your org.

Hi Dia,

No, Task always assigned to the user who has logged the email from Outlook to SF. Currently, we could not change it.

I am listed as the Assigned To but other instances the person who the task is assigned to is also listed under the "Name" and I am wondering if that can be avoided.

It's a little confusing to put it into words.

Thanks for the clarification. I have a contact page in SF as well and that explains why it populates in both fields. I will work with our consultant to see if there's a workaround to it.
