Lightning Standard Buttons Missing on Opportunity Page Layout

I am currently testing the Lightning UI and the Standard buttons on the right hand side of the Opportunity Page Layout are missing. They are Edit, Delete and Clone buttons in my Sandbox. They are in Production on the Page Layout. What have I done and how do I get them back? Thanks.

You can do one thing try to switch to classic view for that record and from that page try to edit the layout and verify that page layout name so you will get an idea which page layout you have to modify for lightning. Then open that layout and try to overwrite predefined actions on the layout as per above @Naveen screenshot and give a try and let us know.

You can add buttons there by going to click on top of page Gear Icon setting and then click on Edit Object>Page Layouts>Edit respective layout there and add buttons to layout there.

Naveen - I do have Edit, Delete, Read, Modify All and View All on the Opportunity Object. The Edit, Delete and Clone button are on the Page Layout in Salesforce Classic.

Jaspreet - When I go to the Lightning App Builder I see the same view there is no Lightning component to add the buttons that I can see.

Thanks guys

Pritam - the buttons are present on the page layouts in Classic but not in lightning. Here is a screenshot of the Page Editor:

It seems that you are on the wrong page layout. Try to verify record type of opportunity and also verify respective page layout there and try to modify that layout. Have your admin created a default page for opportunity view in lightning?

Can you cross verify your pagelayouts assigned to user profiles.

Pritam - I did create a Lightning Page Layout as the default and I did check the assignment to the profile and everything matches but I still do not get the buttons back.

Pritam & Naveen - I gave up. I deployed the working pages from Production to Sandbox and that fixed the issue. Thank you both for your time and efforts on my behalf. May you have a wonderful week.

I figured out why the buttons on the Lightning UI disappeared. I had recently created a component that I added to the Lightning Actions. When I removed it the buttons came back, so it is my guess that the component is incorrect which in turn created an error when the buttons went to render.

Hi all,
I encountered a similar question.

When modifying the page layout to add standard buttons 'Add Products', 'Edit Products' to Quote Line Items related list, we can see the buttons on preview.

But when save it and back to the view mode of Quote page layout, we can't see the two buttons 'Add Products' and 'Edit Products' on Classic but we can find them on Lightning Experience. Our understanding is the standard field should be able to available on both Classic and Lightning. Is the understanding wrong? Any reference?

Thank you!

Hi, this is also an issue I am experiencing and the above has not been able to solve it.
The standard buttons of Edit, Delete and clone are missing from the opportunity layout in Lightning. They are present when I switch the view to Classic, are present when I look at the layout editor.
We used to have these visible and I have not changed permissions.
The opportunity layout is assigned to all user profiles and there is no record object for opportunity.

@JOHN DUGMORE @Beverly Tyree Were you able to figure out a resolution to the standard button dissapperance issue from the lightning pages? I am having trouble viewing standard buttons like new, edit, delete and clone on all the objects in Lightning UI. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Same issue as JOHN DUGMORE above.
I also have do not have the Edit button on the Opportunity Issue page layout.  It shows Clone and Delete but no edit button.    When I click on the page layout editor it shows that Edit is in the Classic view but not available to add to Lightning Experience.  This is most inconvenient.

I also do not have the Edit button on the opportunity issue page layout in Lightning.    It does not allow me to add it to the page layout in the Lightning Button section.  If I switch over to Classic the buttons are there.   This is most annoying.   Users have to keep switching from Lightning to Classic to edit multiple issues.  Is there a fix to get the button visible.
