Record Type not selecting correct when importing using data wizard

I am uplading new parent accounts via the import wizard. I have the account record type as "Parent Account" Which is a record type in our account object. After the import the details show record type as our default "Agent" type but when I click to change it the "Parrent Account" is already selected. Has anyone else seen this and is there a way to get the import to put the correct record type? Have about 500 new accounts to make anddont want to manually change the record type. Thanks!

Sorry I dropped a word in that sentence, are you using Record Type ID or Record Type Name? When using a data tool it's best to use the id instead of the name. See screenshot below, you'll want to make sure that is populated otherwise I'm pretty sure it just defaults to whatever your record type default is

Are you using Record ID or Record Name to set the record type in Dataloader? I would recommend using the 18 Character Case Safe ID when doing the import

Just saw the import wizard piece, I don't have much exposure to it. My suggestions were all related to Dataloader
