I added two new fields to one of our opportunity page layouts. The fields are Competitor #1 and Competitor #2. Each of these fields has a picklist which I used the same picklist for both. The field called Competitor #1 shows up when creating a new opportunity and has the picklist available. Just like we want. The field called Competitor #2 shows up, but it doesn't like you select from a picklist. There is a box by this field with an arrow like there is to be a picklist but that box is shadowed out and no picklist is available. Unless I have missed something, each of these two fields have been set up exactly the same way. I can't figure out why the picklist box for Competitor #2 is shadowed out when creating or editing an opportunity. I have checked the Record Type for each of these fields -- both set up the same with the same picklist values in the "Selected Value" box. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Sutha -- I just got it to work. I read where someone said that they were having a problem with the picklist being shaded out for a new field that they had added to the opportunity page layout. They had deleted a value from the picklist and then re-added it. That step fixed it for them. I just tried the same thing by removing one value from the picklist and then re-adding that same value back to the picklist. The second new field called Competitor #2 now shows up with the picklist no longer shaded out. Thanks so much for your continued effort of reaching out on this question. Much appreciated.
