Why am I receiving an error message that the maximum number of times a file can be shared has been exceeded? Is there a limit to the amount of times I can send a specific attachment to leads?

Hi Mary,

Yes, there is a limit on number of times a file can be shared. You can share a file upto 100 times with people, groups, and via links. Please refer to below link for additional details.

Hi Mary,

I dont have any solution for you as we haven't encountered this limit.  May be one way you can do is add that file again as new attachment ans share that.

You can check by logging a case with salesforce support if they can insrease the limit for you. for example for debug log we have default limit is 2MB but if we asl with salesforce then they can increase it to 5MB or more depend upon the type of customer and the licenses they acquired.

How to log a case with salesforce. (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000123530&language=en_US&type=1)

Deleting it and re-uploading it as a new attachment works.
