Exempting 'Business Type' while creating approval process.

I am brewing an approval process on opportunity records. I want opportunities coming out of the existing account (Type - existing businesses) get exempted from approval process so that they flows directly to the S3 stage with no reviewing by any managers. How to get this done? Approval process is only for new business types.

That would block someone from submitting an Existing Business Opportunity for Approval, not require somone to submit a New Business Opportunity, or block them from bypassing the Approval Process

You could create a Checkbox field that is upated to True/Checked via a Workflow Rule or Process Builder if the Opportunity Type = "New Business"

Then add a Validation Rule that blocks Opportunity from advancing to the next Stage if the custom Checkbox = True/Checked and Type = "New Business"

Then add a Final Approval Action to your Approval Process to set the Checkbox field to False/Unchecked

Steve can you please define the validation formula for blocking Opportunity from advancing to the next Stage if the custom Checkbox = True/Checked and Type = "New Business".

Hey Steve, I saw in some website that somebody asked for the trigger for submitting for approval, if rating is gold for the account. :

Can I do something like this for the "Existing Business"? If yes, what I need to change here?
