Best way to notify users of new fields/field changes?

Wondering what the most efficient way is for notifying my users of changes i make as an Admin to the org. I am cleaning up fields on all object, as I come across them and would hate to mass email them every time I hide an unused field or make a field required or add some validation rule. Im thinking maybe a one-time pop-up when they click on the object? Is that even possible?

Hi Claudia,

Unfortunately, there isn't an automated way to notify users of metadata changes through Salesforce. You could however utilize Chatter, create a public group, add all users to the group as members, and then post the changes in the group.

Hi Claudia,

Do you want to notify the user when the record is updated whenever the user log in then notification should show?

Salesforce has a bell notification feature and you can customize it based on your need.

If i create an Announcements Chatter Group, am i able to notify all Salesforce Users, or do i really have to manually add them all to the group? Im thinking about the user maintenance long term

You could automate the addition of new users to a Chatter group. Take a look at this tutorial on how to do so:
