"Check Readiness" button loops back to documentation on Check Your Lightning Experience Readiness

Has anyone else seen this in their org? I am trying to run the Lightning Readiness Assessment against our FULL sandbox, newly updated to Summer 18. When I click the "Check Readiness" button, I get a pop up window with the H&T documentation on how to "Check Your Lightning Experience Readiness" which directs me to do exactly what I am doing. I am logged in as a full system admin, stuck in a loop.

As of today, I was finally able to run the readiness assessment in our Summer '18 environment. Hope others have the same success.

Hi Allyn.
Availability of Checks and Reports
Admins who meet these requirements can run the Lightning Experience Readiness Check and the Lightning Experience Visualforce Check.
Both checks are available in sandbox and production environments and supported if you’re set to a Fully Supported Language in Salesforce. Reports are available in English only.
The checks are available for customers with certain IP address restrictions. Whitelist the following IP addresses for users who run Readiness Check and Visualforce Check.
52.2.2.209
52.203.195.34
52.200.207.131
52.72.119.132

Hi Rajesh -
These are just IP addresses - not IP Ranges. The set up seems to explicitly be looking for a range.
How do you define the range?User-added image

To help protect your organization’s data from unauthorized access, you can specify a list of IP addresses from which users can log in without receiving a login challenge. However, this does not restrict access, entirely, for users outside of the Trusted IP Range. After these users complete the login challenge (usually by entering a code sent to their mobile device or email address), they can log in.
  • From Setup, enter Network Access in the Quick Find box, then select Network Access.
  • Click New.
  • Enter a valid IP address in the Start IP Address field and a higher IP address in the End IP Address field.
  • The start and end addresses define the range of allowable IP addresses from which users can log in, including the start and end values. If you want to allow logins from a single IP address, enter the same address in both fields.
  • The start and end IP addresses must be in an IPv4 range and include no more than 33,554,432 addresses (225, a /7 CIDR block).
Optionally, enter a description for the range. For example, if you maintain multiple ranges, enter details about the part of your network that corresponds to this range.
Click Save.

Just a temporary workaround just to run the report would be white list the ip range 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255. Run the report and delete it.

Rajesh - thank you for the clarifications, however, I tried both of these solutions and still ended up with the same "loop" - even after closing/reopening the browser.

I am also running into this loop, Allyn.  Running (or attempting to run) the readiness check in our full sandbox. Rajesh, I've tried your work around with the IP range (0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255) and am still getting this loop..  I have validated that I have I have the access permissions (modify all data, customize application.) Any guidance is appreciated.

I Had the similar issue a little while ago but not recently only later to realized about the ip restrictions. As soon as i added the above Ips into the whitlist it started working.
Sorry. I'm out of options. If none of the above helped. I would suggest raise a case with salesforce.

Nicole & Rajesh - FYI: I have a case opened with support and this is apparently not the first they've heard of something like this. Nicole, I would suggest opening a case ASAP so that they know the issue is more wide spread.

Thanks.

We are experiencing the same issue. Have any you found a resolution/workaround?

I recommend submitting a support ticket with Salesforce. We will be starting one today.

As many tickets as can be opened to prove this issue is critical, the better. Ours has been in the queue since Monday, just continually "escalated." This is really frustrating.

Hey Allyn.  You mentioned you have tried running in the sandbox (I was, too.)   Have you tried running in production? I was able to run it successfully in production (which is weird to me, you'd think you'd be able to run it in either environment.)

Hi Nicole - I don't know what your Sandbox vs. PROD setup is, but our Sandbox is Summer 18 while our PROD environment is still Spring 18 for another couple of weeks. The reason for running it against Sandbox now was to see in the moment where we are in terms of Lightning readiness based on functionality that has come with the Summer release.

From what I understand from Support, there is a "fix" in the works. That's great. But the issue for us, as it is often, is lost time. We needed an answer when I initially tried to run the assessment a week ago.

Hope that makes sense as to why it would work in one environment and not the other! Thanks Nicole.

Environment-wise, we're in the same boat. Spring 18 vs. Summer 18.  Derp. I should have caught that. Sorry, Allyn. I hope they have a fix soon!
