Why are my accounts not appearing on another users list views?

I apologize  because I know there have bee variations of this question on here and I have tried all those solutions and still struggling.


It's always just been myself in Salesforce but recently that changed and I just added a new user. I provided them a Standard User profile, provided them permissions and shared all my listviews with them. 

When they log in they can see all the opportunities I have been working on and one list view under accounts. However most of the other account & contact list views I have created are there but when clicked on are empty.

You can find accounts by using the search bar at the top so I know they do have access to the acounts and contacts. It must be a listview issue. I am working in Lightning...any suggestions?

Not sure why they can see one list...but not all of the others...hmm.

I am going to guess it is because your list views are set to "My Accounts" instead of "All Accounts".  Your new person can't see anything under "my Accounts" if they haven't been assigned as an owner to any yet :)

Can you post screenshots of theList View, and the Filters, and Settings that you're currently using and the results you're getting? Can you also post a screenshot of an account record that is "missing" from the List View? 

There are basically 3 reasons why something doesn't show up in a List View or a  Report: 

1. It does not meet the scope or filter criteria being used.
2. The User does not have at least Read access to it
3. It does not exist

Thank you Steve and Pattie! It was totally what Pattie said, changing the filters from my accounts to all accounts!!!  Oy, so simple!  Thank you!- #newbie

Nice - glad it worked out!  Don't worry, the answer is simple but we all have done this mistake at some point, haha.
