Help with Formula Field to show one value if one field is blank and another value if it isn't

Hi all, I am banging my head against a wall and really need help.  I have two custom fields: Matter Number Advo and Accounting Number.  I need a formula field that will show the Matter Number Advo value if one exists.  If Matter Number Advo is blank, i want to return the Accounting Number value.   Not sure if it matters but Matter Number Advo is a Text field and Accounting Number is an autogenerated number...here is my current formula returning no value.

IF(ISBLANK(Matter_Number_Advo__c),
Accounting_Number__c ,
Matter_Number_Advo__c)

Hi Stephanie,
Current formula is correct.
Would you mind checking if Accounting_Number__c  has also some value if Matter_Number_Advo__c already blank.
(Assuming you might be checking on any older records where auto number value is also blank if  "Generate Auto Number for existing records" was not marked during auto number field creation.)
