hello the problem is solved for scenario the reason I was getting an insufficient privileges message is because I was not passing an Opportunity Id
For this type of issue please write like this 0Q0/e?retURL={!Opportunity.Id}&oppid={!Opportunity.Id} and then continue your fields which you need to populate with &.

but if i am not wrong it is related to workflow to launch when button pressed if it is similar to my problemthen i can try that please suggest that  whether this is the solution "See if giving the System Permission called "Run Flows" on their respective Profiles helps or not.

As an alternative, you can also go to the User Detail Page of the respective Users and the check the checkbox - Force.com Flow User"

In your case, you might not be having enough permissions to create a quote record.
  • what at is the Organization Wide Default Setting for Opportunity and Quote?
  • Try using the same button by logging in as the owner of the opportunity and see what happens

for opportunity it is Public Read/Write & for quote it is
Controlled by Parent and i am owner of the records in account aswell as opportunity

Make sure the compact page layout from which you are updating contains all the fields that you are trying to populate from the code.
