Click the Reports Tab, then click the button "New Report..."

Click the + next to Administrative Reports, then click Users. Click Create.

Set your columns up so you have at least the User's Name and User ID columns. Feel free to include any other columns you might find useful.

Click Run Report.

Owner ID is the User ID. I usually run a Users report of all of my Users with their IDs and save it as a .xls and reference it as needed.

Ok, when I run a report, I expand the Administrators reports field, and select users.
I still dont see the user id.
Sorry, I am very new to SF!

  • You can also create a formula field on the account pulling the owner ID that way you an pull it in your account reports.
  • you can click on the account owner name and look in the URL when you are in the user page

I believe you can also get the id by clicking going to setup - manage users.  Then click on the user you are looking for.  The id should be the 15 character number/letter combination in the address bar.

Thanks for the information,

Manage Users--> Users and selecting the required User will open the User details with the User ID in page URL. User ID will be between / and ? 005f4000001abcY  is the User ID in below example.

For example: https://naa.salesforce.com/005f4000001abcY?noredirect=1&isUserEntityOverride=1 (dummy URL)

In Lightning,  you can click on the "owner" and then their profile page will appear that has the ownerid in it.
