Is their a limit to number of record types per object?

Matt BrownMatt Brown
No there is no real limit to the number of records per object. There are storage limits. https://na5.salesforce.com/help/doc/user_ed.jsp?section=help&target=admin_monitorresources.htm&loc=help&hash=topic-title but that represents the overall storage of your Salesforce org.

I'm looking to find out about record TYPES.  Thanks!

Oops sorry :)

Salesforce recommends creating no more than 200 record types. While there is no limit, organizations may have difficulty managing their record types if they exceed 200
