Unable to send request to server. The HTTP redirect Request must be confirmed by the user

Using the Excel Connector to update records. I use the Excel Connector weekly and it last worked for me on 12/28/2011.

Now I get the following error when trying to log on:
 

Error Generated by request:: Unable to send request to server. The HTTP redirect Request must be confirmed by the user

ExceptionCode: 5103

All admins experiencing this issue. Data Loader still works.

Has something changed in Excel Connector for the new year? 
We have had security changes made by our IS depaterment over the weekend.

Neither IS nor Salesforce will support the Excel Connector.

Any ideas for troubleshooting?
Has anyone else experienced this?

This is not due to a change in the Excel Connector, but the IS department changes made, and I am going to guess to a proxy server possibly?  They may be able to find what's being blocked in their log files and fix the issue for you.  Another thing others said fixed the issue was to change the server URL to http://login.salesforce.com/services/Soap/c/16.0 and make sure your combination of security token and password is correct. I have never done this though, so I can't verify...
