how to create contact groups in Salesforce

How do I create contact groups that may involve contacts from different accounts/parent accoutns, so that I can just select different groups when I am sending out mass emails?

By the way, our mail system is zimbra, not outlook, so I cannot just create the group in my outlook, and sync them with Salesforce.

Thanks and best regards,

Jenny

Hi Karanraj,

I have tried your method.

However there is an odd thing happened.

The view I created under mass email is not available if I click on the CONTACT tab directly, and vice versa. Also the view I created under mass emails generate different results than the view I created under contact directly, even though I am using the same parameters. Do you know why that might be?

Thanks and best regards,

Jenny

Hi Jenny,

In the mass mail view, it will omit the records which doesnot have value for Email field. so only you are getting two different result in the view.

Note:-
The view which creating the Mass mail page will be available for Mass mail fucntion its vice versa.

Hope it gives solution to your quesitions.
