Recieving "Salesforce for Outlook Can't Sync" Error Message

Hi Salesforce Community!

One of my account executives is recieving a "Salesforce for Outlook Can't Sync" message.

It also says, "You have one or more Outlook sync folders missing. If the location of your sync folders changed select the folders in Salesforce for Outlook Settings."

I'm not quite sure what it means?

More than likely means they deleted the install package and need to re-install it (Your Name | Setup | Personal Setup | Desktop Integration | Salesforce for Outlook | select the Salesforce for Outlook installation (new version) or Connect for Microsoft Outlook (older version)

Launa,

I just posted a duplicate question.  https://sites.secure.force.com/success/questionDetail?qId=a1X30000000eUJ9EAM

I am using the lastest version. 2.0.2 Salesforce for Outlook.  Suggestions?

I am having the same problem.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Salesforce for Outlook and also ran the repair function for it as well.  Any other ideas?

I have the same problem.

I downloaded re-installed the package but it didn't help at all.

We wanted to synch tasks, events, and contacts in the data configuration.

Help anyone?

Thanks

Have you checked your sync settings (or if you are not the admin have them confirm for you)? You may be trying to sync a folder such as "contacts" but your permissions do not allow that. Your admin sets up your sync settings (such as tasks, events, contacts, and whether the sync is bi-directional, Salesforce to Outlook only, or Outlook to Salesforce only).
