Apex DataLoader 22.0 Security Token

I need to use the Apex Data Loader several times a day.  My question is, do I have to append my security token to my password EVERYTIME I login to the data loader?  Or is there a setting where I can add it once and it stays until I change my password?

You can whitelist your IP address and get access into it without security token.

Go to Setup| Administration Setup| Security Controls| Network Access

Give starting of your IP address and Ending of your IP address.

For Ex: is your IP address

give Start IP:

End IP:

This says that any IP addresses between them can login to Salesforce Easily. After whitelisting it, now you can login to dataloader with your Username and Password. No need of security token here.

The only way to bypass the security token is to add your IP address (or range) to the network access section in setup as described by Sunil

You can now type IP into Google and it will tell you your IP addresss. Just an easy way to find your IP if you don't know it.

This did not work.  Our IP addresses are assigned daily via DHCP.  I reached out to our IT department to find out whether my IP address was static or assigned by DHCP.  I was given a range to use which should have worked according to my IT department, and whitelisted the range they gave me within Salesforce, however this morning I still had to append my security token to my password when I logged onto Apex Data Loader 22.0.

Any other ideas?

Make sure you are using an external IP, not one assigned by DHCP.
