There was previously posted:
This worked for me in Chrome (Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit))
Pop-ups and reditrects
Manually add "https://ap8.lightning.force.com"
This worked for my users for rest of the day after adding, then completely stopped working even though we have tried to add again. No luck. Please fix this BUG.

I gather this was designed to make users aware that they're leaving Salesforce, but we are also experiencing the issue when navigating to other salesforce pages (e.g. when viewing documents). @Salesforce, please fix this bug as the provided solution to disable popups is not working... Thanks!

I'm fairly new to Saleforce, but is this how the SF development staff identifies a "bug", waiting for complaints to reach critical mass before they will consider it worthy of their attention? Tell me it's not so! I used to be able to click on a URL in Lightning and a new tab would conveniently and logically open up, since that's what I clearly asked for it to do. Now I have to click that same URL and then tell it a 2nd time that that's what I want it to do. Who in the development community would consider that an improvement? Who failed to run that by a diverse user group to find out if we out here are OK with doubling our efforts to get the same result? Disappointing.

This is not a feature request, this is a bug!!
There is an option to disable popup messages already under setup> session settings > "Warn users before they are redirected outside of Salesforce"
But this option has no effect on the modal. Since Summer 19, the modal shows up almost all the time on Mac, and intermittently in Windows.
I have been going back and forth with Salesforce support and they argue that it is working as designed according to https://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/summer19/release-notes/rn_lex_external_link_modal.htm
But it does not work as described!! This page clearly states that "To prevent this modal from displaying every time you open an external link, disable your browser’s popup blocker". But disabling the browser's popup blocker has no effect on whether the modal shows up or not. I will continue to push for a fix.

Created a ticket..... The solution provided was to disable popups in Chrome. I'm not having the issue personally as I have an older version of Chrome Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit) but those on Version 75.0.3770.90 are.
