Hi All. I built a custom object for my customer called 'Team' and surrounded it with the necessary triggers. It works identical to the Account Team functionality without having the 'Default' account team function. If anybody wants the code, please contact me and I can deploy the package to your org. I can't charge for it because my bet is that this issue will be resolved soon. I built it so that when Account Teams eventually allow triggers, all you have to do is run a Team report and using data loader reload the data in Account Teams, then shut off the triggers and of course change the related list to take out Team and add Account Team. It also has a nice feature that auto-adds the same account security (via APEX sharing) to related records which are not master-detail.
