I upvoted this as well. What's sad is that I feel my vote and comment are a complete waste of my time. There are great and needed ideas in the idea exchange that have 10's of thousands of points and have been here for as long as ten years. This is where great ideas go to die in hopes that the users posting them will be placated and believe that salesforce is listening. Theydefinitely do not appear to be listening. Another good example of my opinion will be that no one from salesforce will respond to this comment or to me about my complaint about the idea exchange apparently being completely ignored

While documentation indicates that a formula of text(now()) would return milliseconds, it in fact does not.
If datetime fields don't support milliseconds (which would be great), the documentation should be updated to properly reflect that. At a minimum I'd like to see the now() function return milliseconds so we can at least capture that and append when needed.
