Here is our Use Case:
We have a room full of flight dispatchers that ensure aircraft get safely and efficiently from A to B. At any given time they are responsible for a few hundred out of the hundreds of thousands of flight records in the system. They need to be alerted - by Chatter preferably - when any change is made to a flight record.
We have rules in place to auto-follow and un-follow flights during the period they are active. That's where this requested feature is badly needed since we need the dispatchers to be alerted when a change is made to a flight they are following.

This feature is the missing link in successful community case handling communication. If contact on case is making a new post in community the case owner or the case followers don't get any email notifications. Only if comment is made to existing post. Please get this fixed asap.
